Thai - Czech Startup Forum to Celebrate 50 Years of Diplomatic Relations

On 6 August 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, in cooperation with the Royal Thai Embassy in Prague, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bangkok and KX Knowledge Xchange of King Mongkut University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), organised the "Thai - Czech Startup Forum to Celebrate 50 Years of Diplomatic Relations" to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the Czech Republic.

The event was presided over by Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, and Mr. Richard Hlavaty, Director of Non-European Countries of the Czech Ministry of Trade and Industry. Representatives from 7 Czech startups in the fields of artificial intelligence, medical, space, environmental and bio-technology namely Qeedio s.r.o., ECOTEN Urban Comfort s.r.o., Battery Check s.r.o, MilkyWay be well s.r.o, Big Terra Alpha s.r.o., Windees s.r.o. and Stratosyst s.r.o. were also in attendance at the forum.

Through the panel discussion, startup pitching and networking sessions, participants, including Thai and Czech startups, had an opportunity to exchange their knowledge and learn the advantages of startup ecosystems of their counterparts, as well as reap the opportunities for market access and partnership, which also supports the promotion of innovation to make Thailand the hub of digital industry in the region.
