Pursuing a competitive scholarship? Here’s how Pitt can help.

The University of Pittsburgh has been named a Fulbright Top Producer nine times over. In recent years, students have earned some of the nation's most competitive awards, including the Soros Fellowship, the Goldwater Scholarship and the Mitchell Scholarship.

Behind each of those wins are months of writing essays, practicing interviews and requesting recommendations. That's where the fellowship advisors in Pitt's Office of National Scholarships and Post-Graduation Success can help.

If you're a Pitt student or recent alum, the office can help you be a competitive applicant by identifying awards and guiding you through the process from start to finish. And the office doesn't just help with scholarships that require University endorsement - fellowship advisors can provide support on a number of undergraduate, graduate and summer-term programs.

"Our fellowship advisors serve as national reviewers for some of these awards and can offer expert insights into what judges want to see," said Lesha Greene, director of national scholarships for the David C. Frederick Honors College.

Come by the 35th floor of the Cathedral of Learning to find out how the office can help you succeed. Plus, sign up for the National Scholarships Newsletter to keep up with deadlines, be the first to know about info sessions and get application tips direct to your inbox.
