El Zol 107.9 Raises $181,726 For Childhood Cancer Research

Audacy's El Zol 107.9 (WLZL-FM) in Washington D.C. has raised $181,726 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, bringing the station's total contributions to childhood cancer research to over $2.4 million since 2016.

"This has been an incredible achievement for a one-day radiothon. The success of this event is a testament to our on-air talent's enthusiasm and the support of our amazing listeners, who continue to show us their love day in and day out," said Candy Cintron, Brand Manager, El Zol 107.9. "We'd also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for this strong partnership, which yields great results for our community year after year."

El Zol 107.9 radiothon broadcasted from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET on June 14. It featured interviews with local St. Jude Children's Research Hospital cancer patients and their families, messages from hospital patrons, and on-air talent, including Patricia De Lima, Chepe (Joel Silva), DJ Xplosive, DJ Fatboi, Rey Parker, and DJ EZ, who encouraged listener donations.

This radiothon is a part of Audacy's commitment to making a meaningful difference at scale. Audacy raises awareness for social issues by building sound communities and uniting them for good.
