Places and Dates that a person can register to vote in the General Election

NOTICE OF PLACES AND DATES OF REGISTRATION FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION

To comply with the law contained in Kansas Statute 25-2311 (a)(3). I am notifying you of the places and dates that a person can register to vote in the General Election to be held November 5, 2024. You must register at least 20 days before the election to be eligible to vote in the General, (if you are not already registered). A person can register at any of the following locations during their regular business hours. The County Clerk's Office at the Courthouse in Oskaloosa, City Offices at McLouth, Meriden, Nortonville, Oskaloosa, Ozawkie, Perry, Valley Falls, Winchester. You can get a voter registration application form from the County Clerk's Office, any City Clerk's office or from www.sos.ks.gov. You can also register to vote online at the same web address. Click on Elections on the home page. Then click on Register to Vote. You can then select either an online form or a form you can print out. If you register with a paper form, mail it to the Jefferson County Clerk's Office at P.O. Box 321, Oskaloosa, KS 66066 as soon as possible. Voter registration closes on October 15, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. Registration will reopen the day after the General election. You also have the option of voting early by filling out an advance voting application and returning it to the Clerk's office. You can get your application from www.sos.ks.gov or you can call the County Clerk's office at 785-403- 0000 Option 6 and we can send you an application. Advance voting ballots will be mailed beginning on October 16 and continue through October 29 at 4:30 p.m. You can advance vote in the County Clerk's office from October 16 th until noon on Monday November 4th. You must be a citizen of the United States who is 18 years of age or older or be 18 years by the date of the next election, before you can register.
