Cantwell Statement on NASA Decision to Return Astronauts on SpaceX Spacecraft

Today, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.), Chair of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, released this statement regarding NASA's decision to return astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams on SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft:

"Continuing American leadership in space is so important for our national security and scientific innovation. I spoke with Administrator Nelson this morning about the Starliner decision and asked NASA to regularly update the Committee as they continue to work to bring our astronauts home safety."
