US-Adriatic Charter, Minister Hasani: Kosovo must be part of the A5

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani, participated in the working breakfast of the US-Adriatic Charter (A5) on the topic "Western Balkans safe, stable, integrated - mission (not) possible" organized by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, Bujar Osmani.

Minister Hasani emphasized that the A5 remains a key player in preserving the Euro-Atlantic perspective of the region, as he reiterated the call for Kosovo to be part of the Charter.

"To be fully successful, the Charter has to fully respect its open nature. This implies its expansion with those countries in the region that are politically ready to adhere to the initiative. Therefore, we believe that in order for this initiative to remain healthy and sustainable, we must not allow it to remain hostage of nationalistic positions and that we must urgently solve this issue", Minister Hasani stated.

The US-Adriatic Charter (A5) remains a unique forum of regional cooperation and the only regional security initiative that involves the United States.
