‘Roll Out’ to the Library in September for Library Card Sign-Up Month

Celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month in September with the Palm Beach County Library System and the American Library Association. Everyone is invited to discover the incredible resources and opportunities available at the local library by signing up for a library card.

​This year, Optimus Prime from the TRANSFORMERS is the special ambassador, highlighting that there is more than meets the eye at the Palm Beach County Library System. Whether looking to enhance skills, find valuable information or connect with fellow avid readers, a library card unlocks a world of possibilities.

As part of the celebration, all Palm Beach County Library System locations are offering a free special promotional item. Members can receive an Optimus Prime sticker decal to customize the look of their library card. These sticker decals are made of a durable material that fits perfectly on the library card. During September, members (both new and current) can visit their local branch to pick up one. This is a limited time offer, while supplies last.

Join others throughout September for Library Card Sign-Up Month activities. Some of the highlights include:

  • Black Culture Book Fair - Discover library services and resources in relation to Black history and culture with guest speaker Brian Knowles, M.Ed, Sept. 7, 2 - 3:30 p.m.
  • Art Is for Everyone: Assistive Tech - Learn about assistive technology devices and accessibility apps with the Coalition for Independent Living Options and FAAST, Sept. 9, 11 a.m. - noon
  • Book + Art: "The Backyard Bird Chronicles" - Follow Amy Tan's journey into birding with a book discussion and a video art talk at the Norton Museum of Art, Sept., 21, 2 - 3:30 p.m.
