The EPS Major Collision Investigation Section (MCIS) is looking for information regarding a Jeep that was involved in an incident that injured a motorcycle rider yesterday afternoon.

On Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024, at approximately 1:55 p.m., a blue Jeep (unknown model) was travelling westbound along 102 Avenue approaching 138 Street, with a 1983 Honda VF750C motorcycle travelling behind. Witnesses described the Jeep aggressively braking unnecessarily in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle was subsequently forced to brake quickly to avoid colliding with the back of the Jeep, which resulted in the 35-year-old male rider losing control of his motorcycle. The rider sustained non-life-threating injuries as a result of the collision and was treated and transported to hospital by EMS. The blue Jeep reportedly left the scene and police continue to seek more information about the driver and route of travel.

"We are asking anyone with dash camera footage of the motorcycle and blue Jeep prior to the collision to contact police," says MCIS investigator Const. Liv Vors. "We are confident there are other witnesses out there that we haven't had a chance to speak with."

Investigators are asking anyone with any dash camera footage from the time of the collision or any information about the driver of the blue Jeep to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.
