State Police Arrest 15 year old for Assault and Criminal Possessi...

On August 24, 2024, at 10:21 p.m., New York State Police, assigned to the State Fair, received a fight-in-progress call outside the Exposition Center at the State Fairgrounds.

When Troopers arrived, they observed several females involved in a physical altercation. During the altercation, one female was stabbed in the right shoulder and was transported to Upstate University Hospital in stable condition. Troopers learned a second female who was in the physical altercation sustained a stab wound to her buttocks and was dropped off at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse by private vehicle, where she was treated and released.

A 15-year-old female was arrested for Assault 2nd degree, a class "D" felony, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree, a class "A" misdemeanor.

The investigation is continuing.
