On August 28, the Ministry of Unification held an international conference commemorating the 1st Anniversary of the ROK-U.S.-Japan Summit at Camp David under the theme of "Commemorating the 1st Anniversary of the ROK-U.S.-Japan Summit and 8.15 Unification Doctrine."

At the conference, the achievements made in the year following the Camp David Summit, trilateral cooperation, the significance of the 8.15 Unification Doctrine proposed by President Yoon Suk Yeol during his address on Liberation Day, and ways to cooperate were discussed.

The event was divided into three sessions: "Assessment of the Camp David Declaration and the Strategic Environment on the Korean Peninsula," "Achievements and Challenges for Each Country One Year After the Camp David Summit," and "Vision for a Unified Korean Peninsula and Trilateral Cooperation among the ROK-U.S.-Japan." U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Philip Goldberg and Japanese Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Koichi Mizushima delivered congratulatory speeches and experts from the three countries participated in the event as panelists, adding significance to the 1st anniversary of the Summit.
