Serve Colorado Unveils 2023 Impact Report, Highlighting Milestones and Community Impact

DENVER - Serve Colorado, managed within the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, is excited to announce the release of its 2023 Impact Report. The comprehensive report showcases a transformative year of growth and achievements, reflecting Serve Colorado's continued dedication to addressing the state's most pressing challenges through innovative programs and strategic partnerships.

"Colorado continues to be a national leader when it comes to AmeriCorps service, and I am excited to release the 2023 Serve Colorado Impact Report which highlights the extraordinary achievements we have made across our state," said Lieutenant Governor Dianne Primavera. "Colorado AmeriCorps members and program staff have demonstrated exceptional dedication and resilience, making a profound difference in Colorado communities. This year's report not only celebrates their hard work but also reaffirms our commitment to fostering equity, innovation, and collaboration as we continue to address our state's most pressing challenges."

The 2023 report details Serve Colorado's remarkable accomplishments, including the service of over 1,300 AmeriCorps members who collectively contributed over one million hours across 637 service sites. This extraordinary effort underscores Serve Colorado's commitment to fostering community resilience and addressing critical needs throughout Colorado.

Key highlights from the report include:

  • The launch of Serve Colorado's three-year State Service Plan in February 2023, designed to align with the Polis-Primavera administration's priorities and focus on equity, partnership engagement, workforce development, and transparent communication.
  • A historic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Colorado National Guard in April 2023, marking the first agreement of its kind nationwide. This partnership aims to enhance recruitment channels and career pathways for both Guard and AmeriCorps members.
  • The introduction of a new Quality Credentialing Framework in November 2023, unveiled at the national AmeriCorps Symposium. This framework enhances service-based learning structures and integrates stackable credentials into AmeriCorps service terms, aligning with workforce development needs across the state.

In conjunction with the release of the 2023 Impact Report, Serve Colorado is excited to share a special compilation video featuring the voices of AmeriCorps members and program staff.
