The University of East London (UEL) has been honoured with a Silver Award in the prestigious Circle of Excellence Awards for its outstanding Branded Content Series, organised by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

The Circle of Excellence Awards celebrate institutions worldwide that have demonstrated innovation, creativity, and impact in areas such as marketing, alumni relations, and fundraising.

At UEL, we are thrilled to receive this esteemed recognition for our Branded Content Series," said David Smith, Associate Director of Brand and Marketing at UEL. "This award underscores our commitment to innovative content marketing strategies that not only resonate with our diverse community but also enhance our global visibility."

The award-winning Branded Content Series, a central element of UEL's brand repositioning efforts, was designed to highlight the University's strengths in career readiness, community diversity, health and sustainability, as well as its vibrant east London location. The team collaborated with food platform Mob Kitchen and influential social media figures including alumnus, bio scientist and TikTok sensation Big Manny, as well as London Lions player and UEL sports science student Paige Robinson. Together, they amplified the series' impact, resulting in a significant 24 per cent increase in search volume and increasing application targets by seven per cent compared to the previous year.

"We are immensely proud of the recognition from CASE for our strategic approach to content marketing," added Mr Smith. "This accolade affirms our dedication to engaging and authentic storytelling that resonates deeply with our audience."

Sue Cunningham, President and CEO of CASE, praised all the winners, saying, "The Circle of Excellence Awards celebrate the transformative impact of educational institutions worldwide. These successes highlight the exceptional work in advancing educational goals through innovative marketing initiatives."

This year, the CASE Circle of Excellence Awards received entries from hundreds of institutions globally, with UEL standing out for its excellence in the Marketing Initiatives category. Judges commended UEL for its adept use of social content, diverse storytelling, and measurable impact on audience engagement.
