ComReg can help. We have published a free online tool called Broadband Checker, to help you find out what fixed broadband is available in your area.

Simply enter an Eircode or address in the search, and if broadband is available or planned, a map with the entered location and a table showing the Network Operator, type of broadband and speed will be listed. You can also see a list of Service Providers that may sell broadband on that network. In addition to Broadband Checker, we also have the Mobile Coverage Map online resource.

The Network Operators currently listed in the Broadband Checker are NBI, Open Eir, Siro and Virgin Media. The types of broadband technology represented currently on the Broadband Checker are Fibre, Copper, Cable and Part Fibre.

We have independent advice and information on broadband and mobile services and technologies on our website to assist you. We are also launching a Public Information Campaign to raise awareness of the Broadband Checker and provide independent information on mobile phone and broadband services.
