West Chicago Fire Protection District Accepting Applications for Fire & Life Safety Inspector

The West Chicago Fire Protection District is seeking to fill the position of Fire and Life Safety Inspector to handle tasks such as conducting inspections, reviewing building plans, preparing reports, and delivering safety presentations. Ideal candidates should have some knowledge of fire codes and building construction, strong interpersonal skills, and fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid Illinois driver's license, and two years of relevant work experience. Candidates must also pass a job-related medical exam.

The starting salary is $72,000, with benefits including health insurance, a pension plan, and tuition reimbursement
