Silver service… #MaltaFreeportTerminals has placed second in the Exceptional Wellbeing at the Workplace category of this year's Malta's Business Awards, which recognises companies that provide the healthiest environment for staff and brings out the best in them through individual initiatives or wellbeing programmes. Among several initiatives, the Freeport has partnered with the Richmond Foundation to offer employees confidential emotional support services and counselling with trained professionals. The company also organises regular team-building activities to mark a number of events throughout the year that contribute to fostering a sense of belonging and connection among employees. We were also one of the first companies to sign the Malta Diversity & Inclusion Charter which underscores the company's commitment to diversity. Health, safety, and environmental performance are also priorities for the Freeport. The company conducts toolbox talks, first aid and working at heights workshops and offers various programmes aimed at enhancing employees' knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for effective performance. The company also has an Environmental Management System certified to ISO 14001 standards and promotes green initiatives such as recycling programs, energy-efficient solutions, and waste reduction efforts.
