Consideration of Off-Leash Dog Hours in Piper Park

The City of Larkspur has received numerous requests for off-leash hours for dogs at Piper Park. The Parks and Recreation Commission will discuss these requests and make a recommendation to the City Council at its upcoming meeting.

Currently, Larkspur Municipal Code requires all dogs in City parks to be on a leash. The City has received requests for off-leash dog hours at Piper Park from approximately sunrise to noon daily. The Commission will be making a recommendation to the City Council as to whether to allow dogs to be off leash from sunrise to noon in Piper Park. The Commission invites public participation and input as it considers its recommendation.

The agenda for the Parks and Recreation Commission meeting will be posted at www.cityoflarkspur.org/agendas at least 72 hours before the meeting. Public comments can be submitted in the following ways:

  • In-person at the November 21st meeting.
  • Via Zoom at the November 21st meeting (Link to be posted 11/15).
  • Via e-mail to [email protected]. Comments must be received by 1:00 PM on the day of the meeting.
