Downtown Goes Tropical for Flip Flops on the Blacktop

August 2, 2024 - It's 5 o'clock somewhere! Slip into your favorite flip flops and dive into some tropical-themed fun on Saturday, August 17 from 6 - 9 p.m. for Downtown Midland's Flip Flops on the Blacktop event.

Challenge yourself to a variety of outdoor yard games in the Commons Pedestrian Plaza and enjoy classic Jimmy Buffett songs performed by Air Margaritaville for the Commons Live Music Series from 7 - 9 p.m. Capture the moment with friends and family with a free festive courtesy of Christina Wiggins Photography. Complimentary leis and island eyewear will be provided to attendees by the Downtown Development Authority while supplies last.

This event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.
