CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Oct. 7, 2024) - Waste Management will be performing regularly scheduled collections on Tuesday. Charlotte County mini-transfer and recycling facilities will be open 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Tuesday and the Charlotte County landfill will be open 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday.

On Wednesday and Thursday waste collection will be suspended and the landfill and mini-transfer and recycling facilities will be closed.

It is important for residents to secure garbage and recycling carts in garages, sheds or carports or tied to a secure object. Due to a shortage of carts, replacement could take an extended period of time, and residents risk not having regular collection service if carts are lost or damaged.
