A new program developed for small businesses and entrepreneurs has been launched by the Volusia County Public Library and the Division of Economic Development. This Acuity Business Pass Program offers small businesses a plethora of business resources, including several database programs such as Data Axel; Simply Analytics; and business learning programs, including LinkedIn Learning, with over 16,000 educational classes such as the entire Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite programs.
"Small business owners can get an Acuity Business Pass card at any of the 14 library branches in Volusia County. The card is free and offers special discounts for businesses only. The small business owners can familiarize themselves with Acuity, and then, from the comfort of their office or home, tap into all the research and data solutions available," said Barry KuKes, marketing specialist for the Volusia County Public Library.
"Volusia County Public Library and the Division of Economic Development know small business owners want the best data to make strategic decisions for their businesses. To make this happen, they need access to cutting-edge research and accurate databases. The problem is that oftentimes gaining access to these research tools and databases can be frustrating and expensive."
Brad Harris, business manager for the Volusia County Division of Economic Development, added, "Now businesses can unlock cutting-edge market insights instantly, for no cost."
