Town of Fort Myers Beach Emergency Management continues to monitor Tropical Storm Debby!

Fort Myers Beach Emergency Management continues to monitor Tropical Storm Debby as it moves past our Island. The Town continues to communicate with Lee County and municipal partners.

With inclement weather anticipated throughout the day, the Town asks you to try to limit your travel and do not allow children to play in standing water.

Those that live in the areas prone to flooding, please be aware that the Town's stormwater system will not alleviate water breaching the seawalls from the back bay. Please be mindful that most of the Tier One project is still in progress, meaning drains may hold water for some time during significant rain events.

Stay informed by monitoring your local weather channels and following the Town of Fort Myers Beach Facebook and website News Flashes.

If you have not done so yet, sign up for CodeRed: Community Notification Enrollment; this is an emergency notification system that allows registered users to receive telephone, text and/or email alerts.

The Town of Fort Myers Beach would like to thank our residents and business owners for doing their part to prepare for Tropical Storm Debby and for continuing to stay prepared for future weather events.
