Amata Welcomes $95,000 Preventive Health Care Grant
Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Uifa'atali Amatais welcoming a federal funding notice of about $95,000 ($94,705) this week from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The CDC, an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), provided notice of this new discretionary health services grant, a preventive health block grant, for the American Samoa Department of Health.
"Thank you especially to Jasmay Willis for efforts on this grant," said Aumua Amata.
"Health care funds are always welcome news to our islands. Congratulations to Director Motusa Nua, and anyone working with this grant project, and we appreciate all our health care professionals."
