Attend lecture on sustainability practices for marginalized communities by Clemson professor

Professor Gary Machlis of Clemson University will give a free public lecture on the theme of his latest book, "Sustainability for the Forgotten," from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 26 at the Interactive Learning Center, room 118.

His book investigates how current sustainability practices and efforts don't always present practical or useful solutions for society's most marginalized groups. Through examples and stories, the book examines sustainability's current state through this lens and presents a "call to action that is ultimately hopeful."
