"Our peacekeepers in the middle east are well, safe and in high morale" Acting Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration Filimoni Vosarogo said this morning.

"Reiterating the call by the UN General Secretary for an absolute ceasefire in the region, the safety of our peacekeepers right now is of utmost importance to us."

"Amidst the escalation of hostility in the Middle East, in particular, the recent Iran airstrikes in the State of Israel airspaces, security protocols for our men and women on peacekeeping duties remains paramount," the Minister said.

"I have been briefed by the Commander RFMF of the situation concerning our peacekeepers in the middle east. Our men and women in Lebanon, Syria- Golan Heights, Jerusalem and Sinai continue to monitor the situation with heightened awareness".

"With the region's stability at stake, threats continuing and subsisting with variables that are uncertain presently, I am urging all our citizens to continue to lift our men and women of the RFMF in our prayers for their safety in these challenging times" Vosarogo urges.
