Galliford Try honours the fallen

As we approach Remembrance Day, Galliford Try joins the nation in paying tribute to those who have served in the Armed Forces.

First observed in 1919 to honour those who sacrificed their lives in the First World War, Remembrance Sunday is held on the closest Sunday prior to Remembrance Day and has since evolved to recognise all service members who have defended the country. This year, Remembrance Sunday falls on 10 November when communities will join together to show their support and appreciation with parades and fundraising events.

On November 11 itself, people across the UK will pause at 11 am for two minutes of silence in remembrance of the moment when the hostilities ceased in 1918, in the First World War.
