Flags to be Lowered at Half-Staff in Honor of Pete Snyder, Dublin's First Mayor

The City of Dublin is mourning the loss of Pete Snyder, Dublin's first Mayor. Mr. Snyder was instrumental in Dublin's incorporation in 1982. He spent many years making decisions that shaped our community into the thriving place that it is today - including getting BART service to Dublin. He was a charter member of the Dublin Lions Club, served on numerous boards and commissions, was the president of the Murray School District, founded the Dublin Fine Arts Foundation and Dublin Sister City Association, and served on the Dublin City Council from 1982 to 1994 and as Mayor from 1982 to 1986 and 1990 to 1994.

The City of Dublin flag will fly at half-staff at Dublin Civic Center and Dublin Police Services through Monday, October 21.
