CrowdStrike Foundation reaffirms its commitment to supporting the next generation of talent and research in cybersecurity and AI.
Sunnyvale, CA - February 28, 2019 - The CrowdStrike Foundation, a nonprofit that funds scholarships, research and provides pro bono security software protection, today announced the opening of applications for the foundation's NextGen Scholarship Program and proposals for the foundation's new Small Grants Program. CrowdStrike® Inc., the leader in cloud-delivered endpoint protection, established the CrowdStrike Foundation to nurture and develop the next generation of talent and research in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI).
NextGen Scholarship Program of the CrowdStrike Foundation
The CrowdStrike Foundation is now accepting applications for its Next Gen Scholarship Program for the academic year 2019 - 2020. Undergraduate and graduate students studying cybersecurity and/or AI in the U.S. and Canada are encouraged to apply. The deadline for applications is April 22, 2019.
Last year, the foundation received outstanding applications from undergraduate and graduate students at universities across the U.S. and awarded NextGen scholarships to students from Brown, George Mason, Stanford, and Virginia Tech.

"We build on last year's success by expanding the CrowdStrike Foundation's scholarship program, and supporting more university students pursuing studies and careers in cybersecurity and AI.
Small Grants Program of the CrowdStrike Foundation
The CrowdStrike Foundation is now accepting grant proposals to support open source security research. The foundation seeks to support work on tools that will have a meaningful impact on difficult cybersecurity problems and will ultimately support the entire cybersecurity community. The deadline for submitting proposals to the CrowdStrike Foundation is April 30, 2019. The RFP for the Small Grants Program can be found here.
