Grace Roede joins Campbell Law as director of Career and Professional Development

RALEIGH - Grace Roede has returned to Campbell Law School as the director of the Career and Professional Development Center effective Aug. 19, 2024.

"I am thrilled to welcome Grace back to Campbell Law," said Mallory Underwood, assistant dean of Career and Professional Development. "Her experience in legal recruitment and hiring coupled with her experience working with law students make her the perfect addition to our team."

With nearly 20 years in the legal services sector, Roede's background includes leading recruitment and hiring across the Carolinas for global business law firm K&L Gates, where she implemented firm wide mentoring and professional development initiatives and provided management with strategic advisory and HR support. In addition to her recruiting role at K&L Gates and other Am Law 100 firms, Roede has also served as the Director of Membership at the North Carolina Bar Association and most recently, as the Student Career Manager in the University of North Carolina School of Law's Career Development Office.

"With her extensive legal industry background, Grace is ideally suited to further elevate Campbell Law 's profile and placement across the country," said Dean J. Rich Leonard. "Her professional acumen and legal community connections will serve our future graduates well."

Campbell Law's Career Center helps students and recent graduates explore legal career options and find internships and jobs in law firms, government, corporations and public interest organizations.

A native of Wilkesboro, Roede is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and resides in Cary. Roede is a member of Triangle Association of Legal Recruitment Administrators (TALRA) and National Association for Law Placement (NALP).
