Announcement on a Disaggregated Open RAN solution from MTI & Lekha Wireless

Hsinchu, Taiwan, July 15, 2024: MTI, a leading O-RU network infrastructure provider, in partnership with Lekha Wireless, a top Open RAN (O-RAN) 7-2x split-compliant RAN equipment manufacturer, are pleased to announce a significant O-RAN interoperability milestone. The companies have successfully completed integration and interoperability testing between the MTI O-RU and the Lekha DU and CU, collectively known as the gNodeB (gNB) function in 3GPP and O-RAN specifications.

Conducted at Lekha's Integration Centre in its Bengaluru headquarters, the interworking testing was carried out with commercially available 5G devices. This critical milestone accelerates future field-testing cycles for O-RAN gNB specification updates, and for extended range tests.

This successful O-RAN ALLIANCE IOT, TIFG E2E testing assurance will contribute to extending MTI's accreditation as defined by the O-RAN assurance assessment across MTI's Open RAN products."
