[NEW YORK] June 28, 2024 - The Wall Street Journal received three National Press Club Journalism Awards for its distinctive and impactful reporting.

Joe Parkinsonand Drew Hinshawwon the Edwin M. Hood Award for "Evan Gershkovich and the Global Surge in Hostage Diplomacy," which chronicled The Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich's wrongful detention in Russia.

Rachel Louise Ensign, Corrie Driebusch, Meghan Bobrowsky, Ben Foldy, Justin Baer, AnnaMaria Andriotis and Miriam Gottfriedwon the Breaking News Award (Print/Online) for "The New Banking Crisis," which involved a series of reporting around the collapse of First Republic and Silicon Valley Banks and the impact to the U.S. banking industry and global economy.

Yaroslav Trofimovwon the Lee Walczak Award for Political Analysis for "Wars and Power," which examined the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
