Fried Frank Welcomes New Chief People Officer

News releases | November 4, 2024

Fried Frank announced today that Mindy Yang has joined the firm as its Chief People Officer, based in New York.

"We are thrilled to welcome Mindy to the firm as our new Chief People Officer," said Kenneth I. Rosh, Fried Frank chairman and head of the firm's Private Equity Funds Group. "Mindy has an impressive background, and we are confident that her extensive experience and strategic vision will further empower our talented Human Capital Management Team."

Yang brings more than 25 years of experience spanning the legal, investment banking and professional services sectors. She joins the firm from Proskauer, where she most recently served as chief talent officer. Before joining Proskauer, Yang served as the national diversity officer at Morgan Stanley. Prior to that, she spent nearly a decade at Skadden, where she held several roles, including in both diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) and business development.

Yang's substantial experience includes lateral partner integration strategy, leadership development, DEIB initiatives (including women's advancement), alumni relations and overall talent engagement. Her primary focus at Fried Frank will be on the firm's global talent strategy.

"We are excited to have Mindy join our team," said Steven Epstein, Fried Frank's managing partner and co-head of the firm's M&A and Private Equity Practice. "We are confident that she will draw on her diverse experience to help drive our talent acquisition strategy."

"We are extremely proud to add new talent such as Mindy to our C-suite, as well as find opportunities to recognize and promote existing talent," said Scott B. Luftglass, Fried Frank's vice chairman and co-chair of the firm's Securities and Shareholder Litigation Practice. Luftglass added: "Mindy's arrival comes on the heels of the firm elevating Jonathan Hallihan, who previously served as Chief Financial Officer, to Chief Operating Officer, and the internal promotion of Simon Wedgbury, who previously served as Director of Finance, to Chief Financial Officer. We are fortunate to have such a talented group of business professionals working on behalf of the firm and our clients."
