Town of Davie Road Closure on Southwest 26th Street

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MAY 6, 2024

Now through May 10, 2024

DAVIE, Fla. - The Town of Davie's Public Works and Capital Projects Department will close both lanes of traffic at Southwest 26th Street just west of the roundabout on Hiatus Road. During the closure, traffic will not be allowed to go westbound at the roundabout at Southwest 26th Street, and eastbound traffic will not be able to enter the roundabout. Detour signs will be displayed along the roadway (see map below).

The road closure will start today, Monday, May 6, 2024, and the work is expected to conclude on or before Friday, May 10, 2024. The closures will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and all lanes will reopen at night.

This is necessary to complete the installation of an outfall drainage pipe under the roadway. The improvements are required as part of the Little Country Estates and Grove Estates neighborhood drainage improvement project.

Traffic delays are expected while the work is being performed and commuters are advised to anticipate delays or seek alternative routes. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as the Town completes the project improvements.

For more information regarding this project, please contact the Town's Project Manager, Keith Pursell, at 954-797-1191 or [email protected].
