Netflix ISP Speed Index for August 2021 →

Vietnam saw increases across multiple services in August on the Netflix ISP Speed Index, our monthly update on which ISPs provide the best prime time Netflix streaming experience.

FPT Telecom and VNPT both rose 0.4 Megabits per second (Mbps) to 3.2 Mbps. Saigontourist Cable Television jumped 0.4 Mbps to 2.8 Mbps. Thanks to some of these improvements, Vietnam's country average grew by 0.4 Mbps to 3.2 Mbps.

For the second month in a row, Taiwan Broadband posted an uptick, climbing 0.4 Mbps to 3.4 Mbps.

Elsewhere in Asia, Thailand and the Philippines also declined. Thailand's CAT fell 0.2 Mbps to 3 Mbps and Royal Cable in the Philippines decreased by 0.2 Mbps to 2.6 Mbps.

In North America, Mexico's Totalplay and Canada's Eastlink - DSL also posted 0.2 Mbps declines. The services dropped to 3.2 Mbps and 2 Mbps, respectively.

Out of Europe, Spain's R and Austria's A1 services also fell 0.2 Mbps to 3.4 Mbps and 3 Mbps, respectively.

Five countries and regions were in the top performance-tier in the month of August. For the fifth and fourth month in a row, respectively, the Netherlands and Singapore registered an average speed of 3.6 Mbps. They were joined by Belgium, Hong Kong and Switzerland.

The Netflix ISP Speed Index is a measure of primetime Netflix performance on a particular ISP and not a measure of overall performance for other services/data that may travel across the specific ISP network. Faster Netflix performance generally means better picture quality, quicker start times and fewer interruptions. We also created a separate tool to check your current download performance: visit https://FAST.com on any internet browser or download the FAST Speed TestiOS or Android app.
