Uniontown, PA - Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that a single-lane restriction is scheduled to begin on Route 4041 (School Road), Monday, May 13, 7:00 AM, from Sardis Road to Mill Stream Court in Murrysville Borough, Westmoreland County.

The daytime, single-lane restriction, controlled by flaggers, will be in place Mondays to Fridays only, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and is anticipated until early June depending on weather and operations.

Crews from Plum Contracting will be replacing the bridge that carries Route 4041 (School Road) over Haymakers Run and includes full depth reconstruction of the roadway, drainage, guiderail, signing, and pavement marking upgrades. The superstructure project is expected to be complete in March 2025 at an infrastructure investment of $2.8 million.

With flagging operations in place, motorists are asked to use caution while driving through the work zone and allow extra travel time. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
