“We are preparing to welcome our Republic’s centenary with the ‘Century of Türkiye’ initiative”

Addressing via videoconference the opening ceremony of the Çanakkale Ayvacık-Küçükkuyu Road Assos and Troya tunnels, President Erdoğan drew attention to Türkiye's goals for 2023 and vision for 2053, and said: "We are preparing to welcome our Republic's centenary with the 'Century of Türkiye' initiative that will go far beyond an ordinary anniversary celebration."

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed via videoconference the opening ceremony of the Çanakkale Ayvacık-Küçükkuyu Road Assos and Troya tunnels.

Highlighting Türkiye's goals for 2023 and vision for 2053, President Erdoğan said: "We are preparing to welcome our Republic's centenary with the 'Century of Türkiye' initiative that will go far beyond an ordinary anniversary celebration."

Noting that the necessary infrastructure has been built over the past two decades in order to make Türkiye one of the top 20 countries in the world, President Erdoğan stated: "We have prepared Türkiye for the great transformation that will turn our Republic's second century into a 'Century of Türkiye' in every area from education, healthcare and transportation to energy, industry and agriculture."

President Erdoğan added: "We work to build the great and powerful Türkiye not only for ourselves but also for all the friends and all the downtrodden whose sights and hearts look towards us."
