The University of New Mexico announces the 2024 Paul Bartlett Ré Peace Prize winners. This biennial award celebrates UNM students, faculty, staff, alumni, retirees, or volunteers who have significantly contributed to fostering peace, harmony, and understanding globally.
The prize will be awarded during a special virtual event scheduled for Thursday, May 23, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. MDT. The ceremony will be accessible via Zoom, with details available at https://unmfund.co/PaulReZoom.

The selection committee, which included sustainability expert Susan Morrison; interim Dean Leslie Donovan, UNM Honors College; and engineer David Muñoz, a 2016 Paul Ré Peace Prize winner, highlighted this year's winners' diverse and impactful approaches to promoting inner and outer peace.
"The 2024 awardees demonstrate how UNM affiliates are having a profound, harmonizing influence from locally to globally," said Paul Ré, prize sponsor and internationally recognized artist. "They have accomplished this in diverse disciplines while nurturing inner and outer peace. This is particularly refreshing and hopeful in these challenging times."
