After sparking a surge of conversations on faith across the country in The Believers, Netflix continues to fuel the excitement with another fresh series that explores another taboo. Doctor Climaxtakes you back to the 70s - a time when societal norms dictated that carnal desires were best kept under wraps and only in one's imagination. The series marks a major collaboration between two talented directors: Kongdej Jaturanrasmee, the mind behind the chart-topping, globally successful HUNGER, and Pairach Khumwan, who is one of the directors in both seasons of popular series Girl From Nowhere.

Doctor Climaxtakes place in an era where open conversations about sex were a big no-no. Doctor Nat, a dermato-venereologist who once dreamt of writing adventure novels and becoming a published author, ends up as the columnist behind "The Climax Question" - a space for answering questions everyone wants to ask but dare not. From masturbation and premature ejaculation to foreplay, STDs, and more, the column discusses forbidden subjects while keeping the inquirers' identities anonymous. Through his work on the newspaper column, Doctor Nat grows closer to Linda, the publisher's art department head. Their budding connection threatens to jeopardize not only the doctor's marriage with his perfect wife, Tukta, but also his family's old-money status.

This comedy-drama series features an exceptional ensemble cast, led by Ter-Chantavit Dhanasevi as both Doctor Nat and Dr. Climax, Goy-Arachaporn Pokinpakorn as Linda, Praew-Chermawee Suwanpanuchoke as Tukta, Tonhon Tantivejakul as Permpol, and Tob-Chaiwat Thongsang as Thong Tien, and many others.

Doctor Climaxmarks the directorial debut forKongdej Jaturanrasmee in a TV series. Crediting creator and producer Ekachai Uekrongtham for the origin and setting of the series, he says, "Ekachai shared with me his idea of turning a sex Q&A column into a series, so I started reading some samples of the published letters from that era. They made for a really great read and also reflected many social issues from that time. That was when I came up with the concept of a doctor who answers questions about sexual issues, as well as the other characters, the column, and the publisher. Through this story, we can examine humanity and society, with nods to real-world events from that period."

Fellow director Pairach Khumwanadds, "Today's viewers might wonder why a Q&A column about sex was such a big deal back then, but I feel this could be a refreshing and novel story. Doctor Climaxnot only entertains but also raises thought-provoking questions. Watching this series feels akin to viewing eight movies, with each episode having its own unique style, direction, and storytelling technique, all woven together into one overarching narrative.

Arouse your curiosity with Doctor Climax, an exploration of sex in the 70s beyond the era's limitations, coming June 13, only on Netflix!
