California women’s rugby takes second place

California's women's rugby squad finished in second place overall in the Allegheny Rugby Union Fall 2023 Small College 7s League.

With three new members and a roster size of 12 student-athletes, the campus recreational team finished the season with a record of 9-2.

On Oct. 19, California hosted Robert Morris and University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown, winning both games 21-12 and 43-0, respectively. The two losses on the season came to St. Vincent College, which edges the Vulcans 22-15 and 17-15.
