Büchel Holding is building a climate-neutral hotel with 60 rooms in the center of Schaan. For this, the provider of office space has acquired a plot of land covering 1,600 square meters. It will offer accommodation to guests attending the SAL Congress and Event Center.

A new hotel is being built in the heart of Schaan. To this end, Büchel Holding has acquired a plot of land covering 1,600 square meters. As detailed in a press release, the entrepreneurial Büchel family is basing the project on the slogan "Schaan grünt" (A greener Schaan). Both the construction and operation of the new hotel are to be climate-neutral.

Schaan is hoping that the new accommodation options will provide positive impetus to the municipality, also in connection with the Saal am Lindaplatz (SAL) conference, congress and event center. "Having a hotel right at the heart of Schaan is a stroke of luck and will generate significant benefit", explains community leader Daniel Hilti in the press release. "The SAL will benefit greatly from this hotel, but the hospitality industry and associated businesses should also profit as well", he adds.

The founders of Büchel Holding expect the new hotel to be well occupied. This is because there is currently still a lack of accommodation in Schaan, an industrial location that often hosts conference events. They are also pinning their hopes on the coronavirus pandemic continuing to die down, which would allow greater travel opportunities and in-person events to be held in the local area.

Büchel Holding already operates kommod in Ruggell. The building complex houses a hotel, office space, commercial premises, a restaurant and a car park.
