Burbank PD News Release: Fatal Traffic Collision Involving Motorcyclist

Burbank, CA (May 9, 2024) - An investigation is underway after a traffic collision resulted in one fatality.

The incident occurred on May 8, 2024. At about 10:10 p.m., Burbank Police and paramedics responded to Olive Avenue and Beachwood Drive regarding a traffic collision involving a sedan and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist had sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the sedan remained at the scene and was interviewed by traffic investigators.

It does not appear drugs or alcohol were factors in this collision. Preliminarily, it appears unsafe speed is likely a contributing factor.

The motorcyclist has been identified as 23-year-old Christopher Torres, a resident of San Fernando, CA.
